Burrowes Brothers Bikes is located in Flatbush, Brooklyn, just steps from Prospect Park. We carry bikes of all kinds, provide bike repairs, and carry all your bike accessory needs. Inside our shop there is also a hidden Speakeasy Restaurant. Online retail coming soon!

OUR TEAM

The Burrowes Brothers are Cat 1 professional cyclists who founded the We Stand United Cycling team in 2004. WSU is both one of the most diverse and most decorated professional teams on the east coast. the team is currently composed of eighteen cyclists, the majority of the team being people of color. WSU is based in New York City, and compete locally and nationally in all major cycling disciplines: Road, Criterium, Time Trial, and Track. The WSU is a member of the United States Cycling Association (USCA).  The USCA is the governing body for road and track cycling in the United States, sanctioning amateur and professional events nationwide.  As a USCA member, the WSU Team competes in National Racing Calendar (NRC) events, which gives us regional and national exposure. The team competes internationally in acclaimed races held each year in South America. In addition to the Elite team, WSU has team members who compete at the Master’s,Category 3, and Junior levels.

ABOUT THE OWNER

JERMAINE BURROWES

Owner, Team Captain of WSU

Jermaine Burrowes is a  Cat 1 professional cyclist who has won over 150 races including the Harlem Skyscraper Classic, The New Britain Criterium (3-time champion), Basking Ridge ( 3-time champion), and the Floyd Bennett Series (6-time champion). As a business expert, Jermaine has extensive experience and an extremely successful track record in start-up businesses. Jermaine founded two successful restaurants in Brooklyn, Mangoseed, in 2009 and Zurilee in 2015. Before restaurants, Jermaine managed the Burrowes family’s 200-car parking lot in Brooklyn. The financial success of this parking lot is what provided the upstart capital for the restaurants. Jermaine is also an actor, and is the founder and director of Whole Picture Films, an independent production company that creates feature films and television series. He holds a degree in Business from Brooklyn College. He is someone who accepts nothing less than success.
